SUPPORT US!
Who are we and what do we do? We are Darin and Kacie Damme and we are intercessory missionaries at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri. IHOP-KC is a missions base with several areas of ministry, all of which can be far better explained by someone else here (a very quick and concise summary of who we are as a ministry, with appropriate links for more information if you are intrigued). As intercessory missionaries, our primary job is to pray. Mike Bickle, our director here at IHOP, explains it this way:
“We are all familiar with missionaries who focus on preaching or mercy deeds (providing food, medical care, etc.). The Lord is calling forth a new type of missionary that is essential to completing the Great Commission. What is an intercessory missionary? An intercessory missionary’s primary focus is changing the spiritual atmosphere over cities through ‘intercessory worship’ (Psalm 149). This ministry provides one of the Scriptural requirements for God to release the fullness of revival. God will not move in fullness apart from Night and Day prayer (including regular times of fasting). The Scripture makes this abundantly clear and history proves this without doubt. Also, Scripture declares that God will orchestrate a mighty ‘intercessory worship’ movement covering the earth in the generation the Lord returns.”
What seems like a brand new thing to our culture is something that has actually been around since the days of old. Intercession and worship are foundations of our faith in God. From Adam onward, prayer has been essential to walking in holiness with the Father, and prayer continues to be essential in this day as we usher in the glorious return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Our personal roles in all of this are to serve as ministry staff on the missions base, predominantly in our 24/7 prayer room where we have committed to worship and intercession throughout the day. Darin also serves as a musician on the platform playing various types of guitars (acoustic, electric, and bass) and occasionally drums. We love what we do, and we love offering our gifts and services to the base!
So, how can you help? As intercessory missionaries working for a non-profit organization, we live off of the financial support of friends, family, and other generous donors. Funding us in our ministry is very simple; you can choose to bless us with a one-time donation, a regular tithe, or commit to giving a set amount in a time-wise fashion (monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or yearly).
To offer you a good perspective on our finances, we live simply as possible, with a need of only about $1800/month. All monies that come our way are rightly divided among covering our own expenses (rent, bills, groceries), tithes and offerings, and other basic needs. What most consider to be “small” donations ($10-$20/month) are anything but small to us as it could cover nearly all of a bill or buy us some much-needed groceries. If ten people gave $10/month, that’s easily $100, with little effort on behalf of each giver. Funding missions is relatively simple when broken down like that, eh?
If you are interested in financially supporting us, God bless you, and here are a few ways you can give:
1) By sending a tax-deductible donation made out to IHOP (please do not include either of our names on the check anywhere). Please be sure to enclose a separate note with your check that states Darin’s full name, Darin Robert Damme, so that your gift will be deposited into the proper account. The address for this method of giving is:
IHOP Support
3535 Red Bridge Rd.
Kansas City, MO 64137
2) By sending a tax-deductible donation made out to IHOP to us at our personal address, which is available by request through email (kaciedamme@gmail.com or darindamme@gmail.com). Again, please do not include any names anywhere on the check.
3) By sending a non-tax-deductible donation made out to either of our names (use this especially for emergency giving, i.e. times of crisis in our family, so that we don’t have to wait for your check to process through IHOP’s payroll department) to us at our personal address, available upon request through the aforementioned emails. (This is the most common method used by financial supporters who do not itemize their taxes.)
4) By giving directly through Paypal using Kacie’s email address (kaciedamme@gmail.com). Paypal is a secure, fast, and easy way to send money. Feel free to use Paypal especially if you are only intending to give sporadic or one-time donations; it saves you the hassle of writing out a check and paying for postage, and your money gets to us safely in a shorter period of time.
Thank you for your interest in us and our ministry here at IHOP-KC. I hope this information was helpful to you, and if you have any questions, feel free to email or comment appropriately and we will be delighted to assist you. Blessings and peace be with you in abundance, and thanks for stopping by!
